Your agreement
PraniID is operated by Raghav Raut and Divyam Gujar, operating as PraniID (Unregistered nonprofit initiative), based in Nagpur, Maharashtra 441401, India. References to “PraniID”, “we” and “us” in these documents mean this operator.
These Terms apply to your use of PraniID. By creating an account, submitting an application/report or using the service, you agree to these Terms and the Acceptable-use rules. The Privacy policy explains processing; accepting Terms does not give blanket consent to optional personal-data uses. Do not use the service if you cannot agree.
Eligibility and organisation authority
You must be at least 18 to hold an account or submit an organisation or adoption application. Keep access details and invitation links secure, use your own identity and maintain accurate information. Report suspected unauthorised access.
If you act for a shelter, rescue, NGO, gaushala or another organisation, you must be authorised to do so. Its staff permissions and publishing decisions are its responsibility. Read Shelter responsibilities before using the console on its behalf.
What the service provides
PraniID provides digital animal records, QR-linked profiles, tag management, care reminders, organisation tools, listings and reporting workflows. Access may depend on verification, organisation approval and feature availability. The current launch does not collect payment, sell tags/subscriptions or accept donations through the service. Any future commercial offer will carry its own terms before purchase.
PraniID is not an emergency service, a veterinary provider or an official ownership registry. A QR profile is not proof of legal title or live GPS tracking. Care histories and listings are supplied by users; an approved organisation or displayed badge does not guarantee every claim, an animal’s health/behaviour or an adoption outcome. For urgent care or danger, contact appropriate local services directly.
Your content and publication
You retain rights you hold in submitted content. You grant the operator permission to host, store, display and process it as needed to provide PraniID, including making fields you publish accessible to others and using service providers. This permission does not authorise unrelated advertising use or override privacy rights. It ends when relevant content is removed, subject to lawful preservation and copies already shared.
You must have the rights and an appropriate basis to supply photographs, contact details, medical/care records and other information. Keep animal status and listings accurate. You may not submit fabricated records, misrepresent custody or publish someone else’s private information without authority.
Adoption and finder reports
An adoption application is a request to the receiving care organisation, not a reservation or guarantee. The organisation is responsible for screening, meetings, lawful handover and any separate adoption agreement. Check its identity and requirements before sharing additional information or agreeing to a handover. Do not use PraniID to sell animals unlawfully.
Send truthful sightings and claims. Do not endanger yourself or an animal to collect a pin or photograph. A report may be delayed, incomplete or not acted on; call the displayed care contact if immediate follow-up is needed.
Misuse, suspension and complaints
We may restrict access or remove/disable content for breaches, security, animal/human safety or a lawful direction. We may preserve relevant evidence and report offences where legally required. Where appropriate and lawful, we explain an action and offer a review channel. Organisation offboarding can also remove a staff member’s access without deleting the organisation’s records.
Report an unlawful listing, privacy violation, infringement or disputed action through Grievance & privacy requests. Do not post complaint evidence publicly if it reveals private information.
Availability and responsibility
We aim to keep the service useful and reliable, but availability, connectivity, reminders, QR resolution and recovery are not guaranteed. Keep independent copies of records needed for care or legal compliance and verify important medical information with a qualified professional.
To the extent permitted by law, the operator is not responsible for indirect losses or outcomes caused by third-party content, adoption decisions or misuse outside its control. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. These Terms do not shift the operator’s own legal obligations to users.
Ending use, changes and governing law
You may stop using PraniID and request account/data removal as described in Privacy. Resolve organisation ownership before leaving an owner account. Continuing obligations concerning lawful preservation, disputes and content already shared may remain.
We may update these Terms as the service changes. The published version is identified at the top; we give notice or seek renewed acceptance when required. Indian law governs, without limiting mandatory protections or the jurisdiction of a competent court, consumer forum or regulator. For questions, contact [email protected].
